3rd child - right now! seven months pregnant…Mexican Food! :bounce:

Yup!!! And I thought it was just delightful…course I did vomit for the whole 9 months of those pregnancies…
Me too!!

With my youngest, what tasted good and stayed down were Big Macs!! —KCT

Baby #1
Menudo
Raw Oysters (didn’t realize back then that they aren’t a great choice for a pregnant woman)
Canned tomatoes with lemon

Baby #2

Chocolate cake!

Broccoli, cooked, chased down by chocolate ice cream. Never liked broccoli until my first pregnancy, then couldn’t get enough of it, and I still like it (though not with chocolate ice cream). I got sick on Gummi Bears during my third pregnancy and still can’t stand those.

No real cravings with my first, gained about 12 pounds, delivered almost a month early.

My second is a different story… had to have Count Chocula cereal (every day) yogurt with a banana, mint chocolate ice cream with cool whip and syrup, the list is endless, gained over 70 pounds, delivered 1 day late.

Couldn’t look or smell pizza either pregnancy, love it now.

We are blessed with two beautiful, sweet, darling daughters!

I do not like hot things normally, but during the pregnancy of my third child, I craved cheese dip with japenos. I don’t think they even make that kind of potato chip dip anymore but I could have eaten it straight out of the jar. At one point in my pregnancy my best friend started chopping up extra jalapeno peppers for me, because I craved them so badly. What a good friend!Amazingly enough, my daughter does not have a spicy personality but is in fact very sweet. It seems like she would have been hot tempered doesn’t it?:ehh:

Whip 'n Chill is STILL MADE, so you can have a flashback! Vermont Country Store carries it:
I am so pumped! I thought Whip & Chill went the way of Luv’s Baby Soft. I wonder if I’ll still like it. It’s been 40 years. Thanks so much for the link. 🙂
$16.50 per box!!! I think I paid about 49 cents then.

I know this is really weird, but i craved peanut butter, open faced with miriclewhip on top!!!

scares me sometimes when i think of it now-a-days!

:whacky: When I was expecting my first I was hungry all the time. Always running out of milk. I wanted “frosted mini wheats” and had no milk so I added Thousand Island dressing instead:bigyikes: . I actually ate it and enjoyed it. 😃

McDonald’s Filet o Fish sandwhiches - I’d eat two at a time. Like every day. Then someone told me about unhealthy levels of mercury and for the rest of my pregnancy I worried that my baby would glow in the dark.

Oh my, that reply and the fear a mother feels when she is so very worried about how she might hurt her unborn baby is so sweet. I remember the fear, and your story brought back some sweet memories…thanx!

My mom says that when she was pregnant with all 3 of us she couldn’t stand the smell of meat, eating meat, anything to do with meat. She once threw out a whole perfectly fine chicken because it “smelled like it had gone bad”. The next week she tried to do it again but my Dad stopped her this time, lol! She also said when she was pregnant with my brother and I she ate pretzels constantly, and with my sister, pizza. 🙂

With my first child, a girl, I just craved food. My doctor did not think anything of me gaining 30 lbs. He thought I was underweight to begin with.

Anyway, both my SIL and I who were both expecting at the same time. We felt sick to the stomach most of the time and we both agreed that mango was the best thing for us to eat. When the burping would start afterwards, the original pleasant mango flavor came back up,. The burps were never acidity or rotten tasting. Sorry, about expressing it this way. But that’s the way it was…

No problem. Thanks for making me laugh. 😃
Thank you, God! I don’t suffer from morning sickness.
Sometimes I feel like I could eat everything we have in the kitchen. Then when I get up to pick out what to eat, I narrow it down to what I can make quickly and what actually tastes good at the moment.

my Mother my Confidence,
Corinne
