I don’t deny that I have sins. I have made no secret that I’m someone who struggles with sin, and I have mentioned some of my sinful past in other posts. But the point is that the “gay” activists are the ones who refuse to say that they have sin. That’s why they are so angry with the Church because they don’t want to admit that they have sin. So who’s being self-righteous? 🙂
There are many who don’t say they are sinners. There seems to be a fixation on certain ones for some people.

How do we convert people to a God of love, and a faith of love, using less than love? It’s really that simple. Christ did not tell us to go out and force the heathens to be converted! I am open to correction if you want to show me a Gospel teaching to the multitudes any different.

:yup:

What do you mean by “all out offensive”? Today, there is no evil that is being promoted more in the world than abortion and so-called “same-sex marriage”. The aim is to brainwash the public into thinking these evils are “the new normal”. And the mainstream media brainwashing propaganda is apparently very effective. So we as Christians need to respond, and I try to do so in my imperfect way. I think Christ would rather we try to save souls and fail then to not try at all. Even Christ Himself would not be able to preach the gospel to this world without offending anyone. That’s why He was crucified.
Brainwashing is indeed occurring. Just go to almost any mainstream media source regarding the same-sex marriage issue. No, the goal should not be to be uncharitable but when you’re branded automatically “homophobic,” then what? The conversation stops right there. I saw a sports figure on CNN who said it twice: “Stop being homophobic.” Who was he talking to? I’ve never had an irrational fear of anyone. Or why is this happening:

“November’s referendum will be the second time Mainers will vote on same-sex marriage. The Legislature passed a gay marriage bill in 2009, but it was overturned by 53 percent of the voters in a referendum that fall.”

We’re all sinners, yes. Let’s respect everyone? Of course. But should we tell everyone about our private sexual behavior? NO.

100% NO. Otherwise, why are gay activists pushing gay marriage with such effort? NO ONE NEEDS MY PERMISSION, OR ANYBODY ELSE’S, TO DO WHAT THEY WANT in private. We are not getting that message from gay marriage advocates.

Peace,
Ed
