Has anyone found a priest seriously to talk about his/her vocation? how was it going?

Yes, I have talked to my pastor about my Marriage.

I see a distinction with a pastor and a priest. A pastor (Catholic) is a priest too, but a priest is not always a pastor. I mean in the assigned and practicing sense. So we should all have a relationship with our pastor and be able to confide in him the things we are experiencing in our faith. If more people would do this, along with praying for their pastors, we would have more holy priests, in general. The whole body would be more holy.

Hi all, I have met the priest. He said according to my experience, it may be or it may be not.
And then he asked me if I am willing to sacrifice myself for God. He said our Mind is also from God. Vocation is about our mind of willingness to sacrifice ourselves to serve God. He said the time of discernment may take a few years.
He suggested me to - pray more for clearer mind, asking God to let me know and understand more. And, try to learn more about the lives of the Sisters to see if it’s suitable for me. And, talk with the presidents in the Convents.

I want to know what would you do if you heard God’s voice asked you to “give up all worldly things”? Just a sentence from God… what will be your next step ? to find a priest discuss about the real meaning? or will decern to enter a convent and be a Priest/ Nun ?

It happened to me… does it really mean God is calling me?

Well, we know from studies that a lottery winner is no happier than a recently injured quadriplegic, after about a year to adjust.

We also know from recent psychological studies that “things” have very little to do with a happy life.

God already asks all to be detached from all wordly things, so I dont understand your “What:shrug: If”
