I posted this in a female clergy thread but thought it could be a thread on it’s own. It’s obvious women have always worked together with men in ministry…

Ok, from searching various translations in Titus it seems the elder/priest are interchangeable with those being a husband of one wifeIt then shifts and uses bishop/overseer and continues with more qualifications. Then in 1Tim. 3 it uses bishop/overseer and gives the same qualifications…

Now I guess the next step would be the five fold ministries… and the qualifications with regards to Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:

Now it seems obvious that bishop/overseer/elder/priest had some pretty strict qualifications but the next step would be to find the qualifications of five fold ministries in regards to qualifications…In our church we don’t use the priest but use bishop’ which are over Asia/India/Nepal, South/Latin America, USA ect and they are all males…

So lets discuss what “clergy” entails ? With the five fold ministries what are qualifications
and who is allowed in those positions ?

Hello, even though I am a Catholic woman, I would like to respond to this thread.
I’m ministering to women and men who are suffering because of an abortion and think that they are unworthy of God’s forgiveness. My goal is also to reach out to those who are OK with abortion or don’t have an opinion about it by sharing the reasons why are women having abortions, the lies they are told about facts of life by the abortion industry and the physical, emotional and spiritual consequences of abortion. I am currently speaking in Churches, pro-life rallies, in front of abortion facilities and in the media about my abortion experience and salvation in Christ. My message is the simple story of a woman who had reached rock bottom and found hope and life in Jesus Christ. I have no qualification except Jesus’ love and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
