What would happen if no valid Eucharists were ever administered ever again?

Say they all stopped this year. Given all other sacraments still maintained (I understand this is VERY hypothetical) what would happen? What would happen temporally and eternally?

I think that is a very good question and not so hypothetical. Not likely in the free world, but I’m sure there are parts of the world and specific situations in repressive countries where Catholics are physically stuck an may never receive the Eucharist again. There may be children being secretly raised Catholic in repressive countries who will never receive the Eucharist.

Imagine being a Catholic in N. Korea! Yes, there is a North Korean Catholic Church, but it is not under the Pope, but the Communist central government. All the legitimate Catholic clergy “disappeared” many years ago. They do not celebrate Mass, so there is no Eucharist, legitimate or illegitimate. There are still estimated be 3,000 surviving Catholics there.

You know what? This reminds me of the underground Japanese Christians.

There are scenarios in past centuries in the Islamic world and especially in Japan where Catholic communities were cut off from the sacraments for generations. The communities continued for many generations and families were validly baptized, married, and received Catholic funerals.

It is not by any stretch the ordinary way that Catholic communities are suppose to exist but the obvious & simple answer is that Jesus will never abandon a flock and provide whatever extraordinary grace is necessary to sustain them.

On a global scale, the Catholic Church will continue to exist on Earth until the parousia.
