What would prove God doesn't exist?

I think that one of the greatest proofs of the existence of God is not only the existence of the physical world, but also the fact that I exist. There you have it, if I weren’t to exist. Which seems like a contradiction.

(Sarcasm off) A hypothetical? Nothing would suffice actually for Pascal’s Wager would take precedence over disbelief.
 
Belief in God would be undermined if the world became so catastrophic that the vast majority of human beings were maimed and killed by **natural **disasters…

Because the minority of those who are so, are negligible?
 
Widespread belief in different gods; an apparent inability by the god(s) to reveal themselves in a way which convinces people who do not already believe, scriptures which are said to be inspired but are open to many interpretations, religious organisations that prove to be no better, even on the issues they hold most dear, than secular organisations, constant redefinition of god(s) to accommodate the advance of science and other knowledge; a failure of believers to identify a mechanism by which the alleged spirit makes contact with the physical brains of people to create faith; the fact that if there is a god(s), god must condone the suffering of innocent animals… But actually I don’t think all that disproves the existence of god(s) - just makes it most unlikely.

I don’t think a reasonable hypothetical is possible. I don’t think any contingent possibility can prove that God doesn’t exist because Gods attributes follow necessarily from the fact that there is an act of reality. For me, a proof that God doesn’t exist would also be a proof that reality does not exist.

Need i say that such a proof would be illogical and thus not possible?.
 
There is no event in the natural world that would prove that God doesn’t exist,
because even if a “miraculous” creative event happened and showed that such an event was possible,
it still wouldn’t prove that God didn’t start the universe.

Now, if a dog was bred to be able to write Shakepearean plays and paint paintings rivalling Rembrandt,
even I would get a little nervous,
but don’t hold your breath waiting for that.
 
When I was theist I said either a sound deductive argument or a correct P-inductive argument for atheism would suffice to move me to atheism, or leave me irrational in my theism.

:)Even if it were true that the universe starts by itself according to some unknown law, God can still be posited as being the eternal act of reality in which and through the universe is able to exist, on the basis that out of nothing comes nothing. This is to say that God is the foundational reality of all potential acts regardless of whether he is a direct cause of them or not.

If natural events caused an excessive amount of suffering and an excessive number of deaths they would be overwhelming evidence that a loving Father doesn’t exist. Leibnitz remarked that houses are far more numerous than hpspitals. If the vast majority of animals and human beings were blind, deaf, dumb, deformed, disabled, diseased, insane and in constant agony I’m sure you would wonder why had God created a hell on earth! Even the strongest faith would be severely tested…

Can you explain precisely why those phenomena make the existence of the Supreme Being unlikely?

An NDE wherein I was able to discover conclusively that there was nothing on the other side. However, as close as that might be to encourage me to lose my religiosity, even that might not do it completely. E.g., perhaps had I been really dead, by being dead just a little longer, I might have caught a glimpse of the other side. But, it would be close.

I think the question is similar to asking, “What would prove the universe doesn’t exist?”

Belief in God seems properly basic to me.
