Scenario-- the doctor informs you that you have 6 months, 1 year, or 2 years to live because of some disease. Of course, one would definafeky want to get financial and spiritual affairs in order. Am curious though about your “bucket list”. What are some things you would like to do or places to visit before the end?

Places I would love to visit: Rio, Jeruselum, Moscow, London, (quick tour of major European cities), a safari in Africa…

NO Bucket List for me.

I would spend my time attempting to get my Loved Ones accustomed to the idea of a Life after mine goes away.
So, I would say a few things that I have chosen NOT to say to others … opinions, thoughts.

Beyond those type of things, I don’t have a burning desire to Travel … or attend an Orgy … or try some exotic Drugs.

I would cook meth and sell it on the black market to ensure my wife and children would remain financially secure after my death.

Trying to be funny Burt?!
I’ll rephrase. I would spend my time trying to ensure my family was financially secure. I know what the dating market for widows with children looks like, and I would like to ensure my wife could remarry for love and not for money.

I would spend time with my family and travel with them (if I could) without hurting their future money situtation. I would try to make as many happy memories for them as I could. I would also plan my funeral, and anything else I could do to taken the burden off my wife and children.

(Just typing this is bringing tears to my eyes because I love my family very much - as I’m sure we all do).

God Bless.

Put the safari first, IMO, as presumably you would lose physical stamina as the illness progressed.

I have no wife or children, and don’t believe in emotional family goodbyes; so I would if possible, spend my last years leading and writing up pilgrimage journeys.

And hopefully go around the world once, and all of the continents, and the 50 States…:)🙂

I would continue working as a nursing home administrator for as long as I could. I would try to live my faith and help others.

I would run out and buy a pack of cigarettes. Then I would try to live my life one day at a time to the fullest possible, enjoying my family, my friends, and my God.

And I would take one last big trip to Disney World, the happiest place on the planet.

France for the food and the castles, sailing in the Bahamas around Eleuthera and the Exumas, pet a nursing shark there, Florida keys, New York, Disneyworld, Disney cruise in the Bahamas/Caribbean. Cuddling a lion or tiger cub. A trip to the holy Land, the main places where Jesus has been. A trip to a few fancy restaurants. Final reconciliation with God. Then I’m off to meet God and spend half an eternity in purgatory (alright with me)

Pax Christi!

Get back to Paris and have another good cry.

Ste. Genevieve, pray for me.

God bless.

I would probably give away keep sakes to friends and family, and sell all but the most essential of items. This way no one has anything to argue about when I am gone, and those who I want to have certain things would have them. I might do as my sister wants to do, and have a “farewell picnic” so I could attend to giving these items away.

I would spend only the basic amount needed medically to keep me comfortable. That is not in a lot of pain, for a wheel chair if I needed one or a walker. No extraordinary means for me.

I would let folks know how much I loved them, either in person or via letters that they could keep if they wanted. And like my maternal grandfather, if I was still able I would travel to see family members I have not seen in a while.

Of course I would attend to my spiritual life on a constant basis, as one never knows what day the end may arrive. I have no desire to see the world, or parachute out of some plane or go on a cruise. Making amends with others, giving special gifts to those I love, and being a peace with God matter the most. If it appeared that I was going to have any monies left over near the time of my death, or I could tell that time was running out, I would give it to those I felt needed it the most, and more than likely in cash.

I’d get a sportbike, preferably a Suzuki Hayabusa and just ride for as long as I could…
Aiming for Rome first, then Jerusalem finally Alexandria, enjoying the little things in life along the way. Diving off cliffs, building makeshift swings under bridges, trying new foods, spending the nights at camping areas socialize with other travelers, head off course to get to a music festival. Aaaaw im getting all excited just thinking about it 😊

If the disease would keep me from traveling due to physical distress or w/e, then i’d probably just get high and smoke all day 🤷

Hopefully I would be medically retired and have sufficient to live on. Once I quit feeling sorry for myself and planned the funeral to the last detail, I would like to think that I would LIVE JOYFULLY. I would then start shifting the junk, writing loving letters to family and friends (to be read after the funeral). Then I will start living fully by going to daily mass (not possible due to work), having extra conversations with God, studying the Bible thoroughly (in case God asks me what I thought of His Book), studying and growing in faith even more because work won’t get in the way. In fact I will be very busy preparing for my journey Home.

Don’t know for sure what I would do. Now I live each day as if it is the last, and do the best I can.

Nurse shark. When you’re meant to be dumb…But then I’d be 180 days from never being dumb again.
“Breaking Bad” Burt…lol
My first thought, too!😃

1 year of cuddling my family. My kids and my wife. No expensive travel but we would probably all go to italy on some relatives dime…

Oh, and sell meth. Burt and Heiserberg, er Mr White are on to something…😉

“Yo, Mr. White! Do some science stuff and get us out of this mess!!”

If I was still well enough to travel, that’s what I would do. I’d go back to Poland to visit areas where grandparents came from. Maybe I would do some writing.
