I’ve asked these question in other fora and no one has ever answered them, so since you asked, here you go…Dear friends in Christ;
I’ll assume you on the CAF because your curious about what we Catholics REALLY believe and WHY?
Here’s your chance to find out.
God Bless you and thanks for taking time to ask,
Patrick
So “GOOGLE” is definitive for teachings of the Magisterium?GOOGLE “The Four Last Things”
Death; Judgment, Heaven or Hell for Eternity:thumbsup:
THANKS for asking,
Patrick

- Why do Catholics picket outside of abortion clinics and not IVF clinics?
Thanks for asking.
- Why do Catholics allow bishops who covered up the sex abuse scandal to remain in office? And a related question, why does the Catholic Church permit sex abusing priests to stay on diocesean payrolls?
Everyone seems to be talking about the woodcutter but missing the important points. Well, when you die you are either sent to heaven (you must have lived a very holy life), purgatory ( when you did not die in the state of mortal sin but needed to get cleansed) or to hell (because you had the stain of a mortal sin. What happens when you die?
Just tell them that God commanded Moses to build two golden statues of Cherubim to be placed on the Ark of the Covenant. Hence the God of Moses must have been a catholic God as a protestant God would never have allowed Moses to build statues. No statute: I could never explain it to my Evangelical friends.
It would be good to read The foot of the cross the sorrows of mary by Fredrick William Faber.Do Catholics pray to Mary? As a protestant, that’s a big hang up for me. My Catholic friend tells me no, they do not pray to her nor worship her. And yet I have looked at websites for different Catholic churches around the country and right on the sites some of them talk about praying to Mary. And also, there is a term “co-redemptrix with Christ” (I apologize, I know I didn’t spell that correctly) - what does that mean?

=Tzimisce;11792093]I have asked 2 questions.
Hi, I’m the OPAs far as I can tell, neither has been answered…
NO, the Church OFFICIALLY can’t error on Faith Matters and Moral matters. It’s impossible so your second question is voided. WHY?=NowHereThis;11791229]Could the church ever admit to being wrong on a matter of faith or morals, or would that be the end of the church because it would mean that it was not a trustworthy guide?
This IS a serious question. Your attempt at humor is inappropriate here.=steido01;11791438]It would seem that unbaptized woodchucks might indeed chuck wood, at least according to 2 Samuel. Though the question remains… How much?![]()
=Razanir;11791553]Second question:
Friend,What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen baptized swallow?
GREAT Question:thumbsup:=House Harkonnen;11791733]How did you determine that the Catholic Church is the true church without relying at least in part on your own private, fallible, interpretation?
=1Tim215Mommy;11791935]I have a question:
How can the Catholic Church now be in union with Coptic Catholics while they continue to teach/believe that Jesus Christ has only 1 Nature after Catholics had been condemning that idea as heresy for centuries upon centuries?
I’ve also learned on here that Catholics are now in union with those who celebrate the Liturgy of condemned heretic Nestorius.
If there is no unity in faith/theology, how can there be unity?
I dear friend have NOT the slightest idea where your getting such a wrong notion? And please forgive by correcting also your send notion. Its false and nowhere close to the actual truth.Confused.
Let me warn you that this post may seem contradictory, at least on the surface. One part of me wants to say that your friend must be very badly informed to say that we do not pray to Mary. However, another part of me wants to point out that we didn’t always call it “praying to Mary” so in that sense your friend’s statement might make sense. (When I say “we didn’t always” I don’t mean a VCII thing or anything like that. I’m going back several centuries.)Do Catholics pray to Mary? As a protestant, that’s a big hang up for me. My Catholic friend tells me no, they do not pray to her nor worship her.
The Eastern Catholic forum on this site has Eastern Catholic Christians who talk openly about their Catholic Faith.I dear friend have NOT the slightest idea where your getting such a wrong notion? And please forgive by correcting also your send notion. Its false and nowhere close to the actual truth.
PLEASE if your going to suggest these radical positions; PROVIDE true evidence of them.
If you’d like proof of our catholic position, please ask.
God Bless you,
Patrick
Forgive me for going off on a slight tangent, but I think this could be used as an example in a textbook telling people about the internet (or about discussion forums, depending how you look at it). You’ve got two posters, first the original CC poster and now PJM, saying directly contradictory things. Anyone who believes that something is made true by being posted on the forum, will here be in an insoluble dilemma. The Eastern Catholic forum on this site has Eastern Catholic Christians who talk openly about their Catholic Faith.
It was a Coptic Catholic who stated that their Coptic Catholic rite/church teaches/believes that Christ has one nature-even pointing out that the Catholic Church condemned their belief for centuries, but now they’re in union while holding to Christ having one nature.
The others who said that their Catholic Rite/Church uses the Liturgy of Nestorius, I believe they were Assyrian Catholics.
This IS a serious question. Your attempt at humor is inappropriate here.
PLEASE refrain form these uncharitable remarks. THANK you,
Patrick
Thank you. I too posted that people were more interested in the woodcutter than in answering the serious questions.Friend,
YOU’RE embarrassing yourself and Christ Catholic Church.
Patrick
Yes Catholics do pray to Mary. Why do we do it? Because Mary is the most powerful human ever created. AT the wedding feast at Canna, Mary told Jesus, “They have no wine”. Jesus said, “What is it to me? My hour has not yet come”. Mary in full confidence told the servants to do whatever He asked. Jesus then changed water into wine. So Mary was able to get God the Son to do what she wanted Him to do. How powerful is that?Do Catholics pray to Mary? As a protestant, that’s a big hang up for me.
