If you could have any wish granted to you for Mother’s Day what would you like?

(Feel free to print off this thread and leave it on the coffee table 😉 )

I voted for bath, clean sheets and uninterrupted sleep since my kids are 2 and 1 so some of the other options aren’t applicable to me just yet. I could be talked into a nice long nap! 😃

Just a usual Sunday would be much appreciated…please no special attention. Thanks any.😉

Why? Everyday is Mothers Day!

Some annuals to go in my flower boxes and a nice card from my girls. 🙂

A chance to buy some new clothes, a nice back rub, and a break from my mom duties. 😃

This is going to be my first Mother’s Day since my Mom passed away last June( the day after my birthday). I’ve been dreading it needless to say. My Daughter will be going to Mass with me and then she is taking me out to brunch. Hubby is on a fishing trip but will be back midday on Sunday.I don’t mean to bring anyone down but when I saw the question of what would you REALLY like for Mother’s Day, I thought of my Mom and how much I miss her and want to see her!

Yes, you did bring me down for a bit…but rest assured your dear Mom is at peace, at much more peace then we can imagine. I will say a prayer for you.

I voted to have a bath and sleep (2 kids, one on the way) I don’t get much sleep nowadays.

My heart hurts for you. You can still give her a most beautiful Mother’s Day gift: offer up her soul during the elevation at Mass.

I will include her (and you )in my prayers tonight.

May God
:blessyou:

I am not yet a mom, but every year for Mother’s day my sister and I would ask my mom what she wanted…

“I just want you and your sister to get along” would be the reply…

Of course, she would have to ask for the impossible!!! LOL

Are mothers allowed to change their requests? :o

Some of us are fickle.

SusanL and DJgang, Thank You both for your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate it so much! I hope you both have a wonderful Mother’s Day.:blessyou:

Well I really miss my mother, she passed away 1977 August to be precise, so when Elvise’s birthday is remembered, then naturally I think of her.
So my wish for you mother is to know you are in eternal bliss, and may God permit me to join you one day.

Lucania, I third what DJgang and SusanL said. God Bless You this Mother’s Day.

For Mother’s Day, I just want to stay home and be with my kids and husband. We’re planning a little picnic in the backyard with lots of handmade presents and “breakfast” in bed—probably soggy toast and coffee. I want to go to Mass as a family and have NO FIGHTING!!!

God Bless

Your Mother’s Day sounds wonderful, soggy toast and all! Hope you get the NO FIGHTING wish. Thank you for your kind words.God:blessyou: too!

I sent my hubby an e-mail earlier this week telling him how I envision Mother’s Day weekend. He’s ADD and really appreciates the feedback and suggestions! Friday evening we’re going on a pilgrimage and out to dinner in a group afterwards. Saturday we go to Harrisburg for a huge homeschool conference (we go scouting vendors for our local conference!) and out to lunch afterwards. We stroll around downtown Harrisburg looking for a place to eat. On the drive home we stop at our favorite PA grocery for dinner foods. On Sunday all meals are cooked and cleaned up by someone other than me. I asked my kids for Starbucks gift cards. On the one hand I wish they all would “just know” what to do, but since they don’t, I can get used to spelling it out. —KCT

All I want is a phone call from my eldest daughter.

I won’t get it. She ran away from home, hating me because I would not let her run the house and do as she pleased.

Moms, if your kids fight or misbehave on Mother’s Day, gather them into your arms and give them a BBIIIIGGGG hug.

I wish I could.

Nan - that’s something that we just don’t think about when we have small children…running around fighting, screaming at each other, messing up the house…we just don’t think about the one day they may be gone…whether a circumstance like yours or whether they will be gone raising their own family one day.

God bless you! I think that I will pray for all women who have lost their mothers and all women who have “lost” their children.

Also a reminder to everyone…pray for the women who suffer from past abortions.

BIG hugs and Smootchie Kisses from my girls! I don’t need things, I have them.
Afterall they made me a mom.

Ok, Moms. It’s the 11th hour which means 90% of the shopping is getting done. 😃 What would you like?

I would love some sleep and just a break from my motherly duties.

(Of course, that used treadmill I saw does look pretty good–😛 )
