The four volume, unabridged Mystical City of God by Venerable Mary of Agreda 👍 All about the life of Our Lady – absolutely beautiful!

Peace.

All I know is, any library is incomplete without at least one work by Chesterton, probably Orthodoxy.

In the interest of simplicity, I’d almost rather have a YouCat rather than the US Catechism as my “companion” to the CCC.

Dover publishing has a G.K. Chesterton anthology that I just purchased with my latest order from them. It does include Orthodoxy, some essays, and Father Brown stories, as well as other works.

I have several different types of Catholic Bibles, Catechism of the Catholic Church & the Compendium of the CCC, Baltimore Catechisms, YouCat, The Story of a Soul & other books about St Therese, among other Catholic books about various topics like the Latin Mass, Lives of the Saints, and Mary.

The Catholic Dictionary by John A. Hardon SJ…A timeless masterpiece.

Rediscover Catholicism - Matthew Kelly

In His Steps - yeah, I know it’s not specifically Catholic, but it’s still one of my favorites and it’s in my library.

CS Lewis, The Narnia Series - Again, not specifically Catholic, but very Christian - and in my library.

This non-Roman recommends Benedict XVI’s Introduction to Christianity to anyone with a basic knowledge of philosophy and/or theology, and to anybody else who’s willing to read it carefully!

I’d also recommend Franz Dunzl’s A Brief History of the Doctrine of the Trinity in the Early Church to anybody interested in the development of dogma.

And (for all that I don’t agree with everything he writes), Diarmaid MacCulloch’s A History of Christianity and Reformation: Europe’s House Divided are essential reading for the armchair ecclesiastical historian.
