You are also a die hard, fashion has changed and jeans are not considered barn attire…I wear them to mass and I look very nice
Blue jeans are never acceptable wear in a multitude of situations – Mass being the foremost example.

Red herring.

What people wear to Mass has a direct and often times offensive impact on the environment in which we worship.

Just the opposite should take place – what people wear to Mass should uplift the environment.
This is very true and is one reason I rarely attend the NO at my parish church and opt instead for the EF at the oratory. It is very sad for me to see the disrespect shown to our Lord by people whose kids wear t-shirts with skulls n’ crossbones…women with their midriffs showing…and other similar wear.

When I go to the EF people are dressed like they are going to worship their Lord…not just as a stopover on the way to the golf course or penny arcade.

When you pay my bills you can tell me how to dress. My priest has not problem with jeans…

People will always have excuses for not dressing appropriately for Mass.

Always.

Consider keeping a pair of pants and if need be a shirt nicely rolled-up in your trunk.

While I live in shorts on the weekend if I was going to confession I might just don some long pants as there is always the chance I might stay for Mass…
thanks for clearing that up. i really thought God wanted me to stay there but you, who obviously know all, made me realize i was just trying to be a slob and bring down mass.

thanks o wise buddha!

A white washed sepulcher comes to mind as I read this…are you a pharisee perchance? I guess I am the tax collector

my priest, whom i have a very good relationship with, has never told me proper attire for mass either. considering the good relationship we have, and all the other advice i go to him for, i am sure he would bring it up if he had a problem.
i trust my priest more than the thoughts of Chuy.

Between you and me, redrosetea…I bet Choy wears white after labor day:eek:

seriously, i wonder if you took a poll, worldwide, how many people would agree with chuy.

also, is it just me or does chuy kinda sound like her nose is in the air while typing responses?

I listed that excuse early on…

That would depend…

If you did it on the “Traditional Catholic” or “Eastern Catholic” forums the great majority would. Same with many Protestant and Orthodox forums outside of CA.

All that you are trying to do however is attack me and it’s quite obvious…
