Try us. Give an example because while I am not a true Johnny Cash fan, I have enjoyed most of what I have heard and am sympathetic to him. For instance, I am aware of “Delia” which is about a rather graphic description of killing an unfaithful significant other. This of course is in the tradition of the broadside ballad which could be pretty gruesome. I would have no reason to suspect he actually advocates gunning down people.

Yes. I am no defender of Madonna and think very little of her career, but I would need to see real evidence.

Pretty much anything he sang with the aim of entertaining and making to heal and feel better criminals would irk ire around here, it seems. Cocaine Blues, Folsom Prison Blues, etc.

I edited my comment above btw to mention “Delia” as a possible example. I am reasonably confident the desire to heal criminals would not irk sensible people around here.

Other than a confession, we wouldn’t unless some doctor broke privledge and showed medical records. No matter how low esteem I hold her, I have to give her the benefit of the doubt unless someone shows why she belongs on a pro-abort list.

Sensible being the operative word. But even in my day to day dealings sensible people seem to be in short supply. Or maybe I just didn’t notice how few there were before.

I’ve mentioned this before, but it doesn’t take too much of dealing with the world to realize that rarely stops people. 😦
