Thank you! That is specifically why I asked, but I did not want to presume that the beautiful church shown was situated in the U.S., as we do have many global contributors here.

I do hope to visit this church one day - thanks for sharing an interior view (I had previously only seen photos of the exterior of the church).

I am torn. I am presently going to two churches. One is Latin Rite: St Martin DePorres. We have the Tridentine Mass every Sunday (my personal preference when there) It is a beautiful church. The other is Byzantine: Sts Cyril and Methodius. I must say, I find myself prefering the Divine Liturgy.

The church we attend is Sts. Peter & Paul in Haubstadt, IN. It’s an hour drive for us but well worth it.

Here are a few pics of our church.

Beautiful…

Old location 1955 until Pascha 2012
New location since Thomas Sunday 2012

St Antony Coptic Monastery near Barstow, California
The Coptic monks bought this property in 2008 from the Holy Resurrection Monastery when the HRM monks thought they were moving to New Jersey, a move that fell through resulting in them going to live with the Benedictine monks of St. Andrew’s Abbey, Valyermo, CA. And now they are in St. Nazianz, WI. 🙂

Lovely church. I like all the wood. Nice photos. 🙂

Last year I returned to Michigan(left in 1957)–after two careers . I came from Anchorage, Alaska and the only Byzantine church is there-- St Nicholas, 2200 Arctic Blvd. It was a military dining hall an converted to a church with 3 domes now–one lit internally with over 5000 drilled holes in copper. The inside has about 10 rows of pews and carpeted. The iconastasis is hand carved in wood by a man in North Pole, Ak and really beautiful. The icon’s attached to it and above are written by a man(now Roman Deacon) in Juneau, Ak—beautiful, too. I was Cantor there for 27 yrs. It has web site with beautiful photo’s and history. A must to see if you visit Alaska. Now I am at Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic in Livonia, Mi. Good sized church with full iconostasis, darker inside.

Father Deacon Steven has been reworking the website (with a couple parishioner’s help) - but the beautiful images are still on the parish website.

I miss the chairs - they’re more comfortable than the pews. But the iconostas is so beautiful.

BTW, we do miss you, ByzantineFossil…
