What's a fun idea for Mother's Day?

Well, I am going to watch my oldest son perform in a play at his school. 😃

I am making my other 2 kids come along, too! 😃

It depends on the mother. Some mother’s like breakfast in bed. A barbecue/ potluck with family and friends is nice. If you have a camcorder, you could interview the children about their favorite memory of mom and give it to her on mother’s day. If you don’t have a camcorder, you could make a little “book” about the children’s favorite memories using family photo’s and original artwork.

Were you talking about ideas for celebrating or ideas for gifts?

I just went to “Muffins with Mom” and my sons preschool! 😃 That was SO SWEET!
For Mother’s Day my husband and I will each take our own mothers out to lunch separately, and then he’s going to take me out to dinner. We got the grandparents some special chocolates and cards and we’ll get some flowers too…

This will be the first Mother’s Day on which it’s just dh and myself; both girls and their husbands are far away (though younger dd and SIL will soon be returning - hooray!) We have also lost both of our moms, and just this week lost a dear aunt who was very close to us.

So, dh and I will be enjoying a lovely lunch together, after Mass, at a beautiful restaurant in an old Southern mansion. They have divine food and do a great job for special occasions, all at pretty reasonable prices. My mouth is watering already!!!

The last couple of mothers days my mother has only wanted a few hours help with her garden 🤷.

Since I’ll be at school (out of state) this mothers day I’ll probably just send her an e-card.

Call your local flower shop and order 3 dozen dethorned, individually wrapped roses. After Mass, pick them up, head to your local nursing home and hand deliver to all of the ladies in the home. May be the only flower they’ve received in years. Enjoy! Most fun I ever had on MD! 😃
