Can anyone give me a web site to quote scripture?
I’m having trouble getting paid on an invoice from a customer and would like to quote " the worker is worth his wage - (something like that. I need to find something to maybe help instill some guilt in this business man.

thanks.

Start with Matthew 25, “what you done to the least of these you have done unto me”, and then, among those who will be condemned when Jesus arrives are “those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive aliens of justice” (Malachi 3:5). Of course, themes of social justice saturate the prophetic books of the Bible.

In the law, God had expressly commanded his people not to defraud or hold back wages (Leviticus 19:13) and not to “take advantage of a hired man who is poor and needy, whether he is a brother Israelite or an alien living in one of your towns. Pay him his wages each day before sunset, because he is poor and is counting on it. Otherwise he may cry to the Lord against you, and you will be guilty of sin” (Deuteronomy 24:14-15).

Read the book of Proverbs, God hates those whom cheat others out of what they are due.

I like e-Sword. They have many Protestant translations plus the Douay-Rheims. There is a search feature where you can put in a word or phrase, and you will get all the verses that match. Most of the Bibles are downloadable for free. When I quote Scripture here on CAF, I usually use e-Sword.
