I’ve long thought otters and bats are adorable, but I’m probably not gonna be able to get the necessary license for either 😥

I have a cat, so I’m good.
But I like the idea of a unicorn, with wings. It would be breathtaking to be carried up and across this beautiful countryside.

I don’t think you need a license for bats though. They are beneficial. Here’s plans for a house.

Post pictures when you’re done. 🙂

Particularly your pictures of your Unicorn, if you get one!

Too bad … it’s a pet I can’t have … and all the pictures are in my mind.😌(sigh)

I live in one of the rwo states where owning ferrets is illegsl. When I was working in Atlanta, I knew a couple who had a pet ferret. They are really cute, but California sez they can’t be owned here.

Now, whether I’d want one? Not sure, but they are sooooooooooo cute.

How about a pet Osprey?
That ought to drag another poster out. Grin.

Hello.

I’d love to have an otter. Ever heard of Mijbil in Ring of Bright Water? I’d have to give up my life as I know it to have an otter, so, won’t be happening.

Hello.

Also wish I had some domesticated rats or mice but my dogs would keep them in a constant state of terror.

I have all the pets I want. A dog, several cats and a rooster who adopted us.

We’ve had pet ferrets Stephie, they are cute!🙂 but stinky if they don’t have glands removed or something.
Ours were working ferrets.
I would love a Chinchilla…are they more affectionate than a Guinea pig or rabbit ?

I think it would be cool to have a pet squirrel or a fox. They are both so cute and fuzzy!

I think my husband would have a wolf, if he could. But since he can’t, he would like a German Shepherd and/or Siberian Husky. Although currently being in a one bedroom apartment means we have to stick to our one cat for now.

We kept ferrets here in L.A. back when I worked in the pet store. That was over 30 years ago. Hopefully the statute of limitations has expired. Funny thing, if you go in any Petco or Petsmart they have a whole section of ferret supplies, even though keeping them here is illegal.

I would have a dog now if I had a yard. I’m not sure I want one cramped up in my small condo. I had a cat for years, but he died 😭. I think about getting another, but then I remember the cat box and all that cat hair covering everything 😠. I’ll stick with my aquarium fish for now. 🐠

We had chinchillas, got them for the kids [ and me ] As far as being affectionate, if you spend enough time with them yes . Had a lite brown female and a black silver male. Woke up one morning and the tiniest little baby was exposed for a minute as the mother turned. That was unexpected. Cute and not hard to keep.🦋🦋

There are are but will never be able to have them as pet 1. Koala bear, I think they are so adorable, but it is illegal to own them anywhere in the world, not even Australia. Rare exceptions are Authorized zoos and scientists. 2. A dolphin, what beautiful. loving and intelligent mammals,

A few years ago, a mama squirrel decided the large empty flower pot on my balcony would make the perfect nursery. She brought all manner of twigs for a nest and soon there were two baby squirrels. When they emerged, they were trusting and inquisitive, if a little skittish, but I’m sure I could have tamed them. In my younger days, I would have done so. Soon enough, they were scampering up and down my screen door, damaging it as they chased each other about. I decided then that it was time for them to leave, so I rearranged all the flower pots on the balcony. Mama squirrel got the hint, and carrying each one in her mouth by the scruff of their necks, she made off for the nearby trees - which was something to see as they were nearly the same size as she was.

How beautiful 😃 I’d love to have seen them .So they can be quietened a bit .Are Chinchillas sold in pet shops? Or through registered breeders?
Hearing about those big babies being carried reminded me of a bantam hen we had ,she hatched out four ducklings for me and I had a good laugh seeing them resting one afternoon .The ducklings were by now much too big to be under their mother so they had sat around her just with their heads under her wings and feathers.
