What's a pet you want, but can't have?

Ohhhh 😍 if ever I live in America…that is one pet I would love.

Both. That is one animal I’ve never kept, oddly enough. Pet stores sell them here, and some enthusiasts want chinchillas with unusual fur, etc., and so they buy directly from breeders.
 
A Galapagos tortoise, or a sloth. Not into pets that can outrun me. 😀

I have big dreams of one day getting a falconry license and owning a goshawk, but alas right now I travel too much and don’t have the space.

As far as I know yes,along with hamsters and gerbils etc.Australia takes a better safe than sorry approach to rodent like animals being introduced as they would wreak havoc on the environment here if they were to escape,be set free.In the past we’ve had huge problems with introduced rabbit populations exploding.Various diseases have had to be released to try and control them but still some will be immune and they breed up again.
Wild pigs,camel,horses,goats,rabbits,rats,mice,foxes,cats,dogs ,toads,are some of the ferrals we have that do a lot of damage .Not to mention the birds that have been introduced.
And I really wanted a Gerbil when I was a kid! 🙂
 
I would like to have a horse again. Also, if I had a farm I would like a few goats and chickens.
 
I would love to have an Alpaca They look so sweet to me.As though they are smiling.
We a pet less for the fist time in over thirty years and I am yearning for another pet.I love kitties but I would consider a Australian Labradoodle .We don’t have a fenced in yard so won’t happen unless we move
 
Arbitross would be a name for a Golden Retriever, if I had one.
