Im new on the forum, and to make yall understand my situation a little better. Im going to tell a little about myself.

I havent been doing the right things all my life, i have been arrested for selling marijuana and for haveing a weapon on me. And most of my friends are like that to, but i pray to god and try to do good. Then in last month something happend i met this girl, so i went out with her a couple of times. And then i started to falling in love with her, so yesterday she were here and we only wanted to just watch a movie and talk, but then i had sex with her. We are both catholics and i know that, we should only have sex after marriage and because of that we shouldnt had used protection either, but we did both things. So now are my question what now?

Repent, go to Confession. Then don’t do it again. Change your life. Make God your main focus. Lucky for you, Lent has just started which is a season of repentance and opening your heart and letting God change you.

God bless you!

The first thing you have to do is go to confession. Probably this is going to be one of those “make an appointment” type of confessions, not a “walk-in”. Your sin will be absolved, but I think you are going to have to do some serious work to get yourself out of the midset that led to the sin in the first place.

A man doesn’t have sex with a girl he’s “been out with a couple of times”. You said you had fallen in love with her, but that isn’t love. God has a plan for you that might very well include real true love. (The kind of thing that makes it worth getting up in the morning.) You seem to realize that what you did is against the rules, (which is a good starting point considering we live in a world where even that fact is in constant dispute.) but I wonder if you understand why it is against the rules and what it is you are actually forfeiting when you break those rules? There are lots of good books and videos out there on the teachings of the Church on sexuality and love. Your priest will probably tell you about some if you ask him. Good luck to you!

:gopray::gopray2::knight1::knight2::signofcross::angel1::getholy::blessyou::bible1: Hello my friend i see you have a problem worry not friend the lord will watch over you if you are sorry. Go to a confession confess all of your sins.change your life pray often seek God and ask his forgiveness repent and do not do as you did before do not get involved with drugs. Do not have pre marital sex. Go to church as every sunday and turn your life around. Your friends you speak of you must not follow in their footsteps. For their is the footprints of Satan and the Footprints of God and Jesus and all of his righteous followers. your girlfriend as far is it seems it looks like you to love each other. The love you have for each other should be cherished and guided by Christ. You and her must repent like we all do you to must seek what is right and turn from evil but turn to good. Do what is Right always and Remember always pray every free chance you get. I shall add you to my prayers God bless you and your family and your girlfriend.

Thanks for the answers everyone. I know i made a mistake with the whole sex thing, and im going to the church on Monday, and go to confession. But i really like this girl and i feel something real for her, not like the others where it were " puppy love " would it be a mistake to go out with her again?

Simply put, yes. It would be putting yourself into a situation where you would be highly likely to repeat the same thing again, which is foolish and inadvisable. Find a good, devout, Catholic woman who can strengthen you in faith and chastity, not pull you into sin.

I can see the point in what you are telling me.

Thanks for the help 🙂

Why is it that the girlfriend is pulling Mace21 into sin? This seems to me another case of blaming the sin on the woman.

Mace21 - I think you need to talk to your girlfriend and discuss where you want to go from there. If she would like a celibate relationship until you get married then you can work together with that as a goal.

Well thats a option, and since shes a catholic to then i think it could work

She might be nominally Catholic but is she really interested in living chastely? Is she devout and practicing, does she follow the teachings of the Church fully? Does she live a Christ-centres life? If she is not, I would question her interest in a chaste and celibate life. If she does not come through a conversion of her own, even if she agrees to ‘put up’ with you wanting to live chastely her not having that resolve will not help you. Knowing she will agree if you are weak will only pull you into temptation. Also, having already been in a sexual relationship with her, regardless of either of your resolve to change, will make it very difficult to remain pure. Time and time again I hear stories of couples who fall and cannot get back up again. Don’t let yourself become one of those.

I do not mean to be negative, only realistic.
