Congratulations on your upcoming trip. It sounds like God has planned an awesome experience for you.

Also, don’t worry that it took you three times to get the message. It took Gideon several tries before he decided that God really was asking him to Midianites. Abraham asked God how many times about saving Sodom? Even Jesus closest friends couldn’t believe that He had come back like He said He would. That puts you in pretty good company.

Hi everyone:D! Reviving this old thread cause I wanted to share a little about my upcoming trip.

Well, I started with planning this trip in June of this year and for the darnedest reason nothing was turning out right, so I prayed about it. I was either going to go in June or in September because I wanted to avoid the peak summer season and I was told that the weather was still nice in June and September. So in my prayer I asked that if I was to go in September then to make nothing available in June…and that’s what happened;).

So I planned for early September and things were just not working out. I decided to look at mid September and that seemed to work out perfectly so that’s the dates I went with.

Then today as I was doing some research for my itinerary I couldn’t believe what I was reading:eek:!!! Turns out that the Feast of Our Lady of Mercy is on September 24:extrahappy: :extrahappy: :bigyikes: :gopray2:!!! Can you believe that…that’s smack dab in the middle of the dates that we’ll be there!!! Isn’t that crazy? This is supposed to be the biggest celebration in Barcelona…I was speechless when I saw this. I think this is more than a coincidence…but only God knows. What do you guys think?

Lexee, this is just amazing!! No coincidences about this trip at all! How wonderful that Our Lady is organizing things for you to be there in Barcelona on her special day ❤️

I needed to read this. Thank you, Lexee. Please remember all of us here when you go to Spain in Sept.

I most certainly will remember you all while I’m there:D, you will be in my prayers as I kneel in front of Our Lady:gopray2:. I will also remember you all when I visit the Grotto at Lourdes, I will be visiting there also:thumbsup:.

My plan is to visit Our Lady of Montserrat, the Basilica of Our Lady of Mercy, Holy Family Cathedral, the Grotto at Lourdes and the Church where St. Bernadette is resting. Yup…gonna be busy:D, I just pray that all goes smoothly and no one gets sick, etc. God is so good, I pray He showers us with the graces to deal with whatever may come.

By the way…why did you need to read this? I hope it lifted your spirits in some way;).

Barcelona is one of my favorite cities…I’ve been twice in the past year. You will love it 🙂

I highly recommend a stop at Mt. Tibidabo. There is a beautiful chapel up there that is well worth a visit.
(hope the pictures aren’t too big…I am not sure how to resize them…)

I just wanted to say that I literally had GOOSEBUMPS reading this thread!
I can’t wait to hear about your trip-there is something important to come from all of this.

Wow, I never expected this thread to cause goosebumbs;). I pray that something really good does come out of all of this. I think just the experience itself will be of enormous benefit and I pray will feed me spiritually.

Don’t forget some of the other great stuff Barcelona has to offer - Las Ramblas, gothic architecture, beautiful beaches, museums of all sorts of art (Picasso, Dali, Gaudi’s Parque Guell, and incredible Romanic pieces) and paella!

Barcelona also has an incredible wealth of historic Jewish sites - Mont Juich in particular. It’s worth researching some of the “tourist” stuff before you go.

Happy travels!

Visit Sagrada Familia, the big church under construction in Barcelona designed by Antonio Gaudi, the only architect up for beatification. Also Park Guell was designed by him. There are several other buildings by him there, too.

There is also a late term abortion mill there where abortions are done up until birth. Pray that it will be closed.
