What's Latin Mass Attendance Like At Your Church?

Yes. I try to go there once a month. We are usually upfront. I’m always trying to bring other traditionalist to a place that will provide them food 😛
Good deal. I’m fortunate to live close enough to run down there and spend some time with Our Lord in the Adoration Chapel when moved to do so.

And praying the Mass with Fr Charles is a blessing. 🙂

Sunday High Mass would be about 250. That just about fills up this small church which is a little larger than a chapel.

There’s a Low Mass in Latin just before then on Sundays; it is also well attended. On weekdays the a.m. Mass is mostly (not fully) English; there are maybe 30 there. The evening weekday Mass has the same number of people; it’s a Latin Mass.

This may not seem impressive, except when one remembers that we’re talking a very, very liberal region where church attendance, except for some ethnic masses, has been below average for decades.

The most liberal church in the region has the same weekday attendance as the Latin Masses do at the above traditional church. The best attended Mass at the liberal church (late Sunday evening) is the one that is least “modern” and least informal (most reverent). Unlike other Masses there, the late night Sunday one includes more serious attendees. People kneel through most of the Mass except for the homily, even though the local custom is to stand & sit, & the priest presiders would be happy with any posture.

I draw the details & comparisons out for a reason: clearly the faithful are showing that they seek, and/or will accept, a level of traditionalism greater than what has been trendy in the modern church.

I have no idea how many attend St. Boniface in Pittsburgh each week, but I’m sure it’s several hundred parishoners and visitors each week.

Oh, cool, I wasn’t aware of that Church. That is pretty far from me, I live on the Northwest Side of Chicago.

St John Cantius get’s alot more than 300 for the 12:30 Tridentine. I’ve seen 300 for regular Wednesday night Tridentine Masses.
I was at Christ the King (St Clara's in Woodlawn) last Good Friday, and I counted over 80.

I might have been wrong on the 7:30am Mass. It seems there were that many just for confessions this morning, in spite of heavy winds and -5 temperatures. (Confessions start at 7am and continue till Communion time.)

Ok, I may have exaggerated a bit, but your point can be valid as I’ve only attended one 12:30pm Mass there.

Funny, though, how having parking spaces and public bathrooms increases attendance at Masses.

Ok, I may have exaggerated a bit, but your point can be valid but I’ve only attended one 12:30pm Mass there. There’s definitely a lot more traffic for the 11am and 12:30pm Masses, harder to find a parking spot than for the 7:30am.

Pro Vobis
I was at St John Cantius today also. It was brutal out, wasen't it ? Numbers seemed down a little, but you may have had some who come from a distance away attend a closer mass. Maybe it was more like 300 for the 12:30 today.
