Whats more likely to happen and why?

The reunion of the Orthodox Churches with the Holy See, or a reunion with the Anglican Churches? What would that potentially mean to the climate at large? Just an interesting thought I had reading some of the threads…please disucss!

I believe that reunion with Orthodox in whole would happen before the Anglicans as it is only a matter of coming to agreement on few subjects that we basically agree on any way but look at differently. were as with a lot of the Anglicans there are things that they would have to stop completely before such could happen ( women priest and bishops) for one

Re-union with the Orthodox will never happen. If anything is certain, that is it. Some Anglican local churches are more friendly to Rome’s claims than others: & members of Reform are unlikely to “pope”, but some of their “higher” fellow-Anglicans may.​

Even in the - vanishingly unlikely - prospect of a unification of all Churches, something would happen somewhere to cause another split. The Churches are probably as united as ever they will be. If they seek something imagined to be better, they may very well end up losing such real visible communion as they already have, like the dog in the fable; & they have a lot. What no one seems to question is, whether (for example) Rome’s notions about the unity of the Church are adequate: why should they be ? Why should anyone’s ? That Rome values a particular theological approach, does not at all mean it has to be adequate - it may, or it may not.
