For me it’s “Jesus-is-savior” dot com. Please let me know if this thread is ban-worthy material.

That website isn’t just Anti-Catholic. It is anti- any Bible except King James, Anti-women working, Anti-Television, Anti-government, Anti-America, Anti-Church (There is a thing on not sending your kids to Church), Anti-public and private schools, Anti-music (although I am against some but not as extreme as the author of this website)

:bigyikes:

Watcher forum. It’s a prophecy site and they say they are not anti-catholic but there is no end to the bad posts. I’m a Protestant converting to Catholicism and you can’t miss me on the site. It’s a bad habit.

There is a lot out there. I would rather see a list of sites that are at least fair to the Church. Of course I would expect them to disagree with certain Catholic beliefs but that would be fine so long as they were actual Catholic beliefs.

God bless

HEY, come to think of it; that’s something I’ve NEVER seen. :hmmm: Does such an animal even exist? Is it even possible to disagree with Catholicism w/o creating falsehoods regarding it?

I believe such a beast exists. For example, I think C.S. Lewis was incredibly sincere and fair to the Catholic Church despite his disagreements with it.

God bless

I don’t search for anti-christian websites. Nor anti-jewish, muslim and etc.

Hear hear. Why waste your time on something that’s just gonna get you bent outta shape?

This is why I have ignored researching Jack Chick. I’ve heard just enough of his claims to know that they are a bunch of ridiculous baloney not worth arguing over.

I’ve never encountered them personally, but some kids at my youth group claim to have, and said they are incredibly pushy and rude. Is that true?
I had a JW come to my door. Years ago. Asked me if I believed in Jesus. Of course, I do. I told him. I attend a local Catholic Parish. He told me. I prayed wrong.

I don’t seek out or spend time on anti-Catholic sites. Life is too short for such nonsense. I read Catholic blogs and CAF for the most part.

Nah, at least not the one that came to my family’s door for years. Always asked how my father was doing (he was battling cancer) and brought a dog bone for our dogs. At the very end he would leave his Watch Tower and just ask we read it.

God bless

About Jehova’s Witnesses, when I was living at my parents’ house once this young couple knocked on the door, they were nice, not pushy or rude. I made a fatal mistake: I let them in, listen to them politely and told them I was Catholic but I added that I thought it was great that they were bold enough to go bother, I mean tell people about their message. Week or so later someone at the house tells me two Witnesses came by to see me while I was out and left me with a brochure. I can’t recall if our “friendship” ended soon after that.

As for the anti-Catholic site, I have Constance Cumbey’s blogspot (“What Constance Thinks”) in mind, not her personally but some of the people who comment her entries. Papists they’re not.

Here in the deep south I think it is important to know what doctrines other churches believe in, what you are likely to hear in terms of evangelization and to teach these, to a lesser or greater extent, to our children.

It’s not a matter of searching for anti-catholic websites but when I stumbled upon the site noted in the first post, I did show my oldest daugther. I don’t want her to have any pretense about what is out there and some of the stuff she is going to be challenged with.

Ultimately, learning why this stuff is wrong strengthens my faith. Even looking at the fringe sites can teach one how these people read the Bible incorrectly and how the interpret scripture out of context.

All the same, it`s a good idea to know what our enemies are saying about us.

Sites?
Anything to do with G Szymanski: Arctic Beacon
Self-proclaimed ex-priest Fr R Bennett: Berean Beacon
Chick
Alamo
The founder of CARM: refused to sign the Manhattan Declaration because Catholic bishops had signed it.
“Jesus is Saviour”: You bet!
A number of years ago, i came across a site whose scribe loathed the word “Christmas” (“mas”). He had a link to Berean Beacon.
SDA`s
Jehovah Witnesses
Reformation.org
Ad infinitum.

Some nice juicy dead fish from “reformation.org”:
reformation.org/
reformation.org/holocaus.html

This outfit has something for everyone (except Catholics and Orthodox)!

Too bad he didn’t do a website. 😉

(I was referring to a website … it would be really nice to be able to meet in such a virtual land of hope and dreams. )
