What's the difference between Angels/Intercession & Mediums/Contacting the dead?

She told us she saw an older guy continually working in the store (spirit btw), she described him, and it turns out, it was a description of a former manager that died in the store a couple years ago, she said she sees this ghost all the time, and hes always walking around the store, working, so not sure what this is…why is Ernie not in heaven or hell? Why would there be a spirit of him moving around the store doing things he did in life?

In this situation, she could have easily looked up a former manager’s description. Especially one who died so recently. There may be no ghost at all!

Whenever I hear stories about ghosts like that, I tend to think it’s possible that they’re in Purgatory and need prayers. So, God allows someone to see them so they can pray for him/her. When those people tell others about seeing the ghost, it might also cause those other people to pray for that soul, too. God really does move in mysterious ways. But, I don’t think it’s a good idea to go to a “haunted” place just out of curiosity, or for the sole purpose of trying to communicate with the dead. That can be very dangerous.

Oh c’mon true faith, how can you be so sure about that? The apostles mistook Jesus as a ghost when He was walking in the sea. Do you think the mention of “ghost” in the gospel is irrelevant? Spirits have been here longer than us…😉

I have no issue with ghosts. I believe they exist although I am uncertain as to what they are. However I don’t trust all stories told of ghosts.

I had a ghost in my previous house. He was a boy wearing a blue shirt and he loved to run in my upstairs corridor late at night. 2 of my sisters and my niece had seen him and everyone had the same description of the boy. Somebody told my wife that she can ask the boy to cross-over and that’s what she did. After that his manifestations were gone. 😉

Yes, she COULD have looked up this former manager, but I doubt she did, not by the way she talked about this, its like it was normal for her to see ghosts all the time, plus, she really didnt like talking about this subject, I had to keep the conversation on topic, usually if someone is making this kind of thing up, they do it for attention, not to change the subject every chance they get, but this dead mgr was no different, she just described his facial features and I knew who she was talking about right away, but since he was a spirit, why would he have been performing work duties? Is it possible he doesnt realize hes dead or doesnt know what else to do, or …?

By the way this new mgr talked, I dont think his ghost recognizes or pays any attention to humans in the store…maybe he cant see them, or doesnt care, since he knows he cant communicate with any of them…hes been dead for a little while now, so maybe it has ‘sunk in’ by now?

It’s possible that he’s in Purgatory and part of his purging process has something to do with the work he did, or didn’t do correctly, during his lifetime. The punishments of Purgatory, according to many saints, is connected to the sins that were committed by that soul when they walked the earth. Perhaps that explains why he’s seen as still ‘working’. 🤷

That was a great interview…interesting that she said God gives everyone a few minutes between apparent death and real death, one last chance to accept God or to deny him, so I think maybe it is true that those in hell, really do choose to be in hell! The wanted nothing to do with God in their earthly lives and then given a choice, they dont want anything to do with him in the afterlife either!
