What are the 22?The Catholic Church is made up of 22 distinct sui juiris Churches, one of which is the Roman or Latin Church.
Each sui juris Church has it’s own structure of bishops and technically it’s own Canon Law.

thank you, your just answering my questions left and right today God bless
dude if you think the roman Churches are bad thats nothing compared to all the protestant churches ive been too when i first attending a Catholic Church i was shocked how respectful they are and i very much support it tooI am not highly educated like others who post here and I will not use words for which you need a dictionary…
Eastern Rite and Western Rite believe all exactly the same: We believe in the Trinity the one and only God, that Jesus died and rose again for our salvation and lives; and we believe the Pope is inspired by the Holy Spirit to lead us.
It is HOW we praise the Lord that is different.
I’m Ukrainian Catholic who has only Roman Catholic churches around me to attend (I live in a small town). Also I learned a lot attending Roman Catholic high school.
Eastern Rite Catholics have a profound respect for God, the Presence in the Tabernacle, the authority and gifts of priests. It is VERY RARE to see Eastern Rite parishioners talking in church, having disrespect for something a priest says from the pulpit.
I remember confessing to the RC priest that I missed a Holy Day of Obligation. He said: there are only 6 to remember and I told him with all due respect I’m an Eastern Rite Catholic and we have 22 - and it is hard to remember them all, esp without an Eastern Rite church nearby, so to me it is still a sin.
We see God in the Trinity as KING OF ALL. On certain days (especially Good Fri & Holy Saturday) we ‘walk’ on our knees to the altar in respect. (we also do this in Adoration).
We do not let our children ‘fuss’ in church. From a very early age our children are taught that we are going to see God and He sees everything. And we take corrective action if they disrupt services. (to this day my own children commend me for teaching them right).
We have a different feel of life after death. We actually celebrate 40 days after the death of a person. Just as Jesus was in the desert for 40 days, we believe a soul might linger on earth for those 40 days before meeting the Creator. We celebrate this 40th day with Liturgy for the soul, and day-long prayers and thanksgiving for that soul. We celebrate that soul’s entrance into Heaven.
I think that the Eastern Rite services are just ‘more intense’ than the RC services.
All I can say to you is this: Attend an Eastern Rite Liturgy (I love to close my eyes so as to hear every single word and let every word penetrate into my heart) and see what you FEEL.
