What is the difference between “Traditional Catholic” and “Eastern Catholic”?

And what is the difference or similarity between Catholic, Episcopalian, and Anglican?
Someone once told me they are very similar, but not knowing anything about them, I
thought I would ask here.

Traditional Catholics generally gravitate toward the older, more traditional form of the Mass as used in 1962. Eastern Catholic are members of the particular Orthodox Churches that have reconciled and are now in full communion with the Holy Father.

Anglicans are descendants of the Church of England formed by Henry VIII in the 1500s. Episcopalian is the name for Anglicans in America. Of the Protestants, Anglicans are the closest theologically to Catholics.

An excellent answer.

As an aside, most self-identified “traditional” Catholics I know would consider *all *Eastern Catholics to be “traditional,” as their liturgies and catechesis were not radically overhauled after Vatican II.
