What’s the differents in liturgy between the coptic orthodox church and the coptic catholic church?
Thanks!
Thanks!
The first two aren’t exactly “latinized” but more “maronitized” than anything else. The first one is from a service “borrowed” from the Maronites, that being the Blessing with the Icon of the Holy Virgin. The second is a neo-Maronite hymn. The third, of course, is about a Latin as one can get.I’ve never been to a Coptic Catholic church (there aren’t very many outside of Egypt), but if you can search on Youtube in Arabic you can find bits and pieces of what appear to be liturgies (?) of some kind at the Coptic Catholic Cathedral in Egypt. It is difficult to find many videos on the Coptic Catholic liturgy.

Those three are from their cathedral,
I suppose it’s more or less normal to keep ordination services on the more traditional side. That was the case even with the Maronites up until recently.but there are also more traditional (or at least less obviously Latinized) videos like this one I found of a Coptic Catholic church in America: youtube.com/watch?v=_gpCn9cPPlc (note: This is the elevation of a priest to the rank of archpriest, not a regular part of every liturgy)
