A person who is good his whole life most likely has a greater capacity for love than a deathbed convert. Those with greater capacities for love can receive more objective happiness (i.e., love) than those with lesser capacities, although all who attain heaven will be perfectly happy to the degree of their capacity. All things being equal, a person who has been good his whole life also is more likely to die in a state of grace than the deathbed convert. Those who wait until death before repenting risk eternal death (i.e., hell), a most dangerous form of spiritual Russian roulette.
