My wife received a necklace with three strands that join at the clasp. There is a medal on each strand. They are as follows: a Miraculous medal, a St. Ann medal, and an “I am a Catholic” medal (which has the “M” with a cross in the style of the Miraculous medal). A family friend gave it to us and told her what it was called but she can’t remember the name. Anyone know?

i guess it’s a combination of three medals; no official name really.

Does the ‘I’m a Catholic’ medal have more than one image on the front? The most common is the ‘fourfold’ medal because it usually has four different images imprinted on the front.

No, it’s not a fourfould medal. It has a central crucifix, St. Joseph, St. Christopher, the Sacred Heart, and the Blessed Mother on the front. On the back, it has the
“M” from the Miraculous medal, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, and the “I am a Catholic” phrase.

I’ve never heard of the three medals together signifying anything, either…but my wife was insistant. Perhaps it was just a name for the type of necklace itself???

Can you post a photo? That might help get you an answer.

I’ve never seen anything like that, though it’s very nicely done! Then again, I’ve not seen everything there is to see in the world, so someone else here may have some insight into what it might be called.

It is very pretty though! 🙂

I’m certainly no expert on medals, but I am gusssing that it is a homemade or original necklace that someone has made using medals that they liked the best. I like the concept myself, too! It’s very original.

Thanks. Yeah, I had never heard of anything like this, either. I just figured it was someone taking a flight of fancy…
