What's up with the Pope's Audience Hall?

I think the hall in the inside looks more like a cat than a snake.

But I have looked at a lot of cats’ faces and hardly any snakes’.

another thread where people say they don’t like post modern art because they don’t think it is ‘pretty’. And since they don’t like the art they want to assign something sinister to it.

I actually think the hall is quite beautiful, including the two ‘modern’ rose windows. The Pericle Franzzini sculpture entitled La Resurrezione really captures the power of the resurrection.

I can appreciate the design of an Eames chair even if I don’t want one in my prairie four square house.
 
The hall is ugly, not sinister. That is all. Feel free to ignore.

The power of suggestion theory is a good one but the explanation of the acoustics and lighting made the most sense to me.
I do still think it’s an ugly piece of architecture but I don’t think it’s sinister and I hope it didn’t come across that way. It was just a baffling piece of construction lol.
