Speaking as a married guy with four young children, I suspect if you ask most of the women we know, without sex-less romance, we end up sex-less, period. Intimate relations are not conditional based on romancing each other per se, but it certainly helps create a much more conducive environment for intimacy. I can’t imagine every romantic gesture I made being tied to the expectation or even hope of sexual intimacy immediately henceforth. Sometimes, a sweet note, nice dinner, or flowers for my wife are just reminders that I love and appreciate her.
