this is my first year participating in lent…i will be going through rcia in the fall
I have a few ideas…but im not much of a veggie person OR a fish person so this will be a pretty big sacrifice for me…first off me and my family do tuna melts…i take tuna and miracle whip and shredded cheddar cheese and mix it all together then you put that onto a hamburger bun…wrap the sandwich with foil and heat in the oven for about 10-15 minutes on 350…SO yummy and i hear cheese is ok to eat too
Also tomato soup w/cheese sandwiches sounds nice…
or a ceasar salad w/ no chicken…i suppose i could add tuna and it shouldnt taste TOO awful lol…can you tell tuna is the only seafood i eat…
i had another idea but i cant quite think of it at the moment…OH bean burritos will probably be a regular as well for me…OH! I also have a question…Im nursing my son partially he gets formula as well but we are in the middle of trying to go back to JUST breastfeeding…since tomorrow is ash wednesday would it be ok for me to drink a glass of milk with carnation instant breakfast? i want to honor the fasting and abstaining as much as possible…but i hear milk is a no no on ash wednesday and good friday is this so?
