Do you have any you particularly like, that for some reason, just touch your heart more than others?

I would say the Jesus prayer from Fatima and the Hail Holy Queen prayer are my favorites. The wording is just so lovely.

The Memorare, and the ‘Eternal Father…’ prayer from the DMC

A few!

The Hail Mary is usually my number 1. She’s proven to be a wonderful Mother to me (and all of us!) and with that, echoing the words of the Angel Gabriel make me so happy.

The closing prayer of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, particularly the opening “Oh God, I’m Whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible” … “inexhaustible” just does it for me.

And a simple “Lord, Love me where I am” because I’m not where I want to be with certain things, but God is walking with me towards healing. And I trust that He knows it is a process and loves me in that.

Quite a few 🙂 The Sanctus,Memorare, prayers of the rosary to name a few…

The Suscipe

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty,
My memory, my understanding, my entire will,
All that I have and call my own.
You have given all to me,
To you, Lord, I return it.
Everything I have is yours, do with it what you will.
Give me only your love and your grace.
That is enough for me.

Ignatius of Loyola

In the same vein, this classic by Michael Scott…

Our Father, the Jesus Prayer, the Prayer of the Miraculous Medal (Oh Mary conceived without sin) and the Hail Mary.

The Prayer of St. Michael. It’s got an old school feel to it.

I love the fact that I can pray the Rosary, Hail Holy Queen etc because i learned them as a kid or learned them on my own. I also pray my version of prayers of Thanksgiving for the things God has given me or used others to help give me; a roof over my head, clothing, food, a car, and things I helped obtain, a position in an elementary school that I greatly wanted.

So, in a nutshell I pray bot the typical prayers like the Rosary etc and my own prayers of Thanksgiving. This is what I love about being Catholic; we have a treasury of prayers we can pray when our own words are not there due to disappointment, fear etc.

Thanks be to God.

For me it’s Hail Holy Queen, then after that it is a short, quick, “prayer”. " To thy wounded side I flee" I love saying that because I have mental disabilities and I get overwhelmed easily and quickly, so that short prayer gives me comfort, calm, safety, and readjusts my mind to Christ who is REALLY in control.

There are certain parts of prayers that get me too. Like in Hail Holy Queen, “to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears…”

I love praying the Angelus! And what a perfect day for it today, the feast of the Annunciation was moved to today because of Palm Sunday. 🙂

I think my all time favorite prayer is just reciting the Nicene Creed. I love affirming my beliefs and reflecting on what they mean, especially together with everyone at mass.

I also love the Hail Holy Queen, it’s such a beautiful prayer. Before I became Catholic, I heard it and couldn’t believe it! (In a bad way… it sounded kind of blasphemous.) But now I love it a recite it often.

Thanks for this @(name removed by moderator)! I love litanies. After mass there’s usually a litany we do, especially on feast days for whatever cause. I like the simple repetition, which makes it easier to meditate on the words.

“Oh Lord, please don’t let me mess this up.” Has been among my favorite prayers.
With slightly different wording, my husband called that “The Pilot’s Prayer” and told me he was saying it to himself all through our wedding.

I suspect maybe that was the most praying my husband ever did at one time in his life.

Father Mychal Judge’s Prayer:

Lord, take me where you want me to go,
Let me meet who you want me to meet,
Tell me what you want me to say,
And keep me out of your way.
