Exactly, I am not talking about Judaism, the religion of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I am talking about “Judaism”, which is not truly the Jewish religion at all, but a mockery of it and a satanic inspiration of it.

Pray for the conversion of the Jews if you love the Church.

Sometimes modern Jews remind me of Protestants… I mean, the Protestants did borrow a lot of stuff from them like their canon, and there’s the “denominations” and the whole aspect of being “people of the book” and debating about texts and beliefs.

Judaism…but I am also acknowledging Christian Quakers…both do not have the Eucharist…so I don’t know where I would be without my Catholic faith…really.

Yes, ALL other religions, which includes what you would call “Judaism” today. The modern Jews of today are not practicing the Judaism of the Bible. It is more of a thing that I would call “rabbinical Judaism”, and it is a man made religion inspired by Satan. Judaism ended (or became Christianity) when God Himself established His Church on earth. How could the Jewish religion continue being authentic when they have no sacrifice, no temple, etc? On top of that, they have rejected the Messiah. If you really believe that a religion that rejects its own God is anything other than inspired by Satan, you’ve got quite the issues to work out.

Your understanding of modern Judaism–as well as your Christian charity (at least on this matter)–are apparently in need of improvement.

I picked Buddhism, though Judaism perhaps would have been a better choice. Judaism has so much in common with Christianity that I think more readily of Buddhism as an alien tradition in which I find much value.

You really should cease with you slandering and blasphemy, and quit before you bury yourself. I’m going to say Taoism and the Zen flavor of Buddhism. (Too bad the poll wouldn’t allow me to vote for both.) Why? For me, from an almost-atheist starting point, they served as stepping stones back toward the Christian faith of my childhood, which I lost during my teens. The truths they taught fit into a larger picture of the cosmic jigsaw puzzle.

I chose Judaism as it has been fascinating to me since elementary school and also I like to understand the relationship between it and my Catholic faith.

Also, I’ve recently been reading a short intro book about world religions. This is part of my research for a Catholic science fiction novel. I want to get a feel for how different people of different religions around the world would react to my alien race - and they to the earthlings. Seriously.

It’s been fun and fascinating. Jainism is in this book that I am reading and I think they are interesting. I don’t know how it would play as a scene in my book yet, though, because the Jain monks don’t wear clothing…:bigyikes:

With all the religions, I’m going to need some bigger books - my one small book can’t summarize all the info I need on each religion.

And I have no intention of converting, I totally get the idea of this post - OP, by “favorite” you mean “most fascinating or intriguing,” no? I like to study different cultures but so far have not emigrated to another country either.
