Halloween-the original from 1978.
The Grudge-that little kid just scares me.

The original Texas Chainsaw massacre had no gore in it. For years I was under the false impression that it was the most violent horror movie ever put out but yesterday, I watched the original 1970’s version and was shocked at how nonbloody it was. Most of the fear came from the twisted, psychopathic family.
Try Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. Same director as the original.
He increased the gore level because of the Friday the 13th films, but the film itself is a spoof of the original.

Nightmare on Elm Street scared the bejeesus out of me so badly that I still refuse to go into any basement alone, especially at night. Doesn’t matter if there is a boiler room in there or not. I’m not going.

Poltergeist II was pretty entertaining.

The Exorcist was the last horror movie I voluntarily watched. Scared me so badly that I won’t watch anything else. I can’t even watch A Haunting on TV either. (Now I can watch me some Ghost Hunters!!!)

To tie into Halloween, let’s talk about our favorite scary movies. Mine would be the Scream trilogy.
Scream was very good. The Ring, to me, was terrifying, and I would never see it again–so not sure if it’s a fave, because I couldn’t sleep for weeks! (seriously)

I would say my absolute favorite is Blair Witch…I thought it was so simple, yet so imaginative. (and scary!) I couldn’t go to the bathroom, without waking my hubby up, and asking him to wait outside the door for me.😊

Favourites have to include

The Crow
The Exorcist
The Ring
Night of the Living Dead
Saw
The Hostel

It’s my favourite genre of film. I watch everything in that catagory that I can, but most of it is just rubbish it has to be said.

hi agnostic;🙂

I heard that hostel was sort of graphic…and sexual in some scenes. I had wanted to see it, but it sounds so outrageous…what you rate it from 1 to 10?

The Uninvited (1944) with Ray Milland scared me pretty good, but in a suspenseful way…I really enjoyed that flick. And the original Dracula with Bela Lugosi…I haven’t seen Coppola’s Dracula for some reason.

I also like Young Frankenstein and Scream in a humorous way.

I’ve seen tons of horror flicks, my dad absolutely loves them so I end up seeing them sooner or later. I havent seen The Exorcist yet though and thats his favorite.
