In that order. I like to be able to track the translations so I can come to deeper understanding of the original text. Oddly enough, a single letter in one of the words in the Codex Vaticanus unfolded my understanding of the purpose for which John wrote his Gospel and the divine inspiration of St. Jerome when he translated the Greek text in reconciling the few small discrepancies in the Greek copies of the New Testament available to him at the time.

Yes, I believe that out of roughly 373 OT quotes in the New, 340 or so came from the Septuagint.

The King James. I grew up with it so there is a familiarity. And I think the language and style is memorable and majestic. I also use the King James Apocripha.

NRSV w deuterocanonical books. Like that it also includes books the Orthodox consider worth reading. Might as well get more to read in one bible.
