Nouns have a gender.

People have a sex. Mine is female.

The idea of a “gender” for people is an attempt to assert that there are two components to sexual identity: biology AND psychological. What “gender” to you “feel” that you are? No, no, no. The idea that you can change your biological expression through drugs and surgery to match your psycholigical “gender” has it’s genesis in this line of thinking.

Our sex is a biological fact. It is not alterable. We have no “gender” that we can subjectively choose to be based on feelings.

I know that was not your question, but it is really amazing how the idea of “gender” has crept into even Catholic thinking. We need to eradicate it.

I’m glad you wrote this. When people refer to ‘gender’ I always reply with ‘sex’. I refuse to be dragged into this nonsense.

To answer the OP: female.
 
why would it matter to you? I think it is an infringement on personal privacy that you would even ask.

Since we’re all behind made-up screen names here, it’s really difficult to see the “infringement.”

A poll would have been easier, though I’m surprised this isn’t a heavily female forum.
