Whats YOUR view of Trumps appointments so far?

I have been thinking along similar lines. There does not seem to be an appreciation, of intelligence, skill, education, experience, etc. among his appointees. It almost seems like a reality game show.

I think it’s more like a surreal game show.

Anyhow, I heard that Trump is expanding his search for SOS. In my view, Giuliani, although completely loyal to Trump since the start of the campaign, would be a pretty bad pick. I would prefer Romney, not that he–or any of the choices so far–are that great.

Trump has to name 4,000 new Federal department heads and sub-heads and deputy assistant sub heads.

He has already notified 500 White House staffers to clear out.

On Day One, President Trump will order the Border Patrol to go back to work.

Sheriff David Clarke from Michigan will be in charge. [He no longer appears on Fox. In fact a lot of Fox talking heads have disappeared. Some show up in the elevator lobby of Trump Tower. Some have already been named to sub-cabinet positions. Others???]

On Day Two, President Trump will order the Federal Dept of Education and the EPA to board buses and travel to El Paso, Texas to assist the Border Patrol to walk the border to round up border crossers and put them aboard Air Bus A380’s back to their countries. The EPA and DoE pay checks will be distributed by hand instead of electronically.

Anyone in D.C. who complains will be bused to El Paso.

Some will supervise construction of the wall.

Except some who will be transferred to Fargo … in January.

• Homeland Security Secretary: John Kelly

Both should prove to be strong appointments. They will serve and advise the President and will most likely help shape policies in an informed and beneficial method.
 
The EPA expected appointment may cost this upcoming admin more headaches than they really want.

Trump noted he will be announcing SOS early next week. Which indicates he already interviewed the candidate he is selecting. From all indications it seems to be Romney vs Huntsman.

Romney is not a popular choice for many republicans. But I think Trump views him as a man who can help him negotiate business deals. His priority. And one who may be able to craft his speech for different audiences, so to say. I wouldn’t get a rash if Romney was selected. If he failed to produce positive results he could be replaced quite easily.

I think hate is a strong term, yet I have gathered much of the dislike of Romney was being relatively docile vs Obama (during his Pres campaign) - and then gets aggressive vs. Trump.

I also think it’s his business mentality, his religion, his outspokenness against trump, and blowback for losing. But I like the pick and I like Romney.

It’s got tremendous upside. It shows trump can work with others, at the same time it covers the old " keep your enemies closer" adage. And if trump decides for two terms it takes one of his biggest critics and silences him.

People will take time to get used to not having a polititian but rather a businessman in charge. It’s a different way of doing things.

It’s also why Cruz will be in the Supreme Court by 2020.
