There is a Mass in the Extraordinary Form in Saint Joseph’s Cathedral, Wheeling, West Virginia, the first Sunday of every month at 1:00 p.m.
I went last month (it was my first TLM ever) and enjoyed it very much. They had a professional choir in the loft singing classical pieces for the Mass. The only little thing that gets me was that it was Sunday, Nov. 2nd, and they had the Mass of All Souls (which should have been on Monday in the old rite). The priest-a little bit struggled with the Latin, but he sounded like he knew what he was doing for the most part. The church had scaffolding set up inside, but the beauty of the interior made up for that. And the church must have had 70 people there, if not more. It looked packed.
It was also the first time I have seen black vestments in action. They also used the high altar, they had to move the box altar out of the way. It was a great experience.
