You know when a priest prays with his hands open and raised to shoulder level and his head is bowed slightly? “Through Him, With Him ,In Him, In community with the Holy Spirit”? That posture has a particular name. Could somebody please remind me what it is called? Thanks.

When the priest says, “Through him, with him, in him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit…” he should be holding the chalice and the paten with the Sacred Host slightly elevated above the altar. Hence, it is called the “minor elevation.”

Unless you’re referring to when the priest spreads his hands, palms facing outwards at shoulder level, which is not done at the minor elevation. This is called the orans position, a priestly gesture that some think is ok for the laity to adopt. But what do they know?

Yes. I remember now. Both minor elevation and Orans position. I am grateful to you. Dr Bombay. Thanks.
