Sand argues that the Jewish people’s exile from its land never happened.

In this work, the author attempts to prove that the Jews now living in Israel and other places in the world are not at all descendants of the ancient people who inhabited the Kingdom of Judea during the First and Second Temple period.

Well, interesting historical speculation it may be but it’s not what the DNA markers say, is it?
 
50-70% Semetic (Middle Eastern) is the consensus. There was definitely influx of other genomes. Some from the Khazars, and some from Gentile women. For the latter: although conversion of Gentiles was often outlawed, Jewish law provided a lot more rights for women, and in the middle ages we were often the middle class while 95% of the Gentile population were peasants. FYI, this wasn’t our doing, but the kings, it’s how the system worked back then.

Funny how discriminating against a people by not allowing them to own land or to work on someone elses created a situation in which they were better off than the majority of people.
