This may sound like an odd question, but Paul wrote his letters to address specific concerns for other churches. Paul’s writings were then put in the Bible hundreds of years later…But is there any reason to believe they were used to teach Christians prior to being compiled in the modern Bible? Or were they only put in because the Church at the time the Bible was created recognized everything in them to be true teachings?

I believe this is an important question, because I want to know if the early Church Fathers, 1st and 2nd century, believed Paul’s teachings were correct or if these teachings were only later affirmed by a later Church.

Perhaps this article on the formation of the canon of the New Testamen would be helpful to you. The idea that the canon formed “hundreds of years later” is not congruent with history.
