When did you first know that your finance/spouse/boy or girl friend was “the one”? When did you meet?

I love hearing these stories =]

We met at 15 years old. He knew at 15, and I knew at 17. We began dating at 17, became engaged at 20 (7 months after my baptism 😃 ), and married at 22. This autumn, we celebrate 6 years of marriage and have 2 little ones, so far. ❤️

No girl’s presence ever touched my entire being in that unique way when we first met while I was 18 years old and she was 17.

But I just ignored it and we parted ways because I was still studying.

At age 21 we met again and the same “stars” sparkled once more when I saw her. So I courted her. There and then she accepted my proposal and so we married right away and lived happily ever after until now. 😃

Ha ha ha! I wanted it secret here in CAF. But for your pleasure, the number of years of our marriage has just equaled recently the number of coins that was paid to Judas to betray Jesus.🙂

Oh! Sorry! =] But congrats to your happy marriage!!

within a month (we were 16, married at 19)
for me it was within a month too. =] actually i think i told him that i was falling in love right before we started dating. we were best friends for about a year before i realized that i thought of him more than a friend. hehe.

how did you meet?

My husband and I were good friends for a couple of years before dating. We met when we were both 18, freshmen in college. There was always attraction on both ends, but the timing wasn’t ever right (which ending up being Divine Providence; we both needed to mature and grow closer to Our Lord in our own personhood, rather than attached to someone else!). Two years after meeting, we started dating; eight months later, we got engaged and were engaged for a year and a half. We’ve been married for just short of two years! 🙂

I think what was most telling for me that my DH was “the one” was how at home I felt with him. Even before we started dating, he felt like home. He always felt right. I know that sounds silly, but that’s the best way I can describe it! He was and is home!

It’s one of those things you can’t explain, but I “just knew”. It didn’t happen once, but several times. Once was when she bought me a chocolate bass (the fish) for valentine’s day. It said, you’re a keeper on the box. I’ve been a fisherman a long time, and that was a great gift. I never ate the bass, and I still have it. Another time was when I took her to the church where we’re getting married. It’s up in the mountains, and it’s just awesome. I had told my parents that I was getting married there when I was still single and hadn’t even met my fiancee yet. When I took her to it, she said, “I’m so getting married here!”, and so we are in May:) She’s awesome:)

No, not silly at all! I know that feeling. Its a very comfortable feeling… I can tell him anything! He makes me feel at home haha, and I also felt that way before we started dating.

Thats cute that you never at the bass!!! Congrats to you both! It must be quite a nice church!

This summer. We met when we were 12 and we’re 15 and 16 now, respectively. 🙂

We both knew on our first date. He met my family (it was Christmastime) after our second date and then on our third date we sat in the front of his truck and talked about how cute our kids were going to be (they are very cute)🙂

We had been friends/casually dating for about five months. I went to his house one night and he had not parked in the center of the driveway as usual, but instead to one side, leaving room for me to park next to him. “I love you” came out of his mouth about two weeks later and we started talking about getting engaged.

I knew he was for me sooner than that. We had been seeing each other pretty regularly for about two months and all I did was laugh when I was with him. At 30, I had been looking for a long time. With other men I dated I always thought “he’s a nice guy, BUT”. With my husband I didn’t really feel that way. There wasn’t anything about him that I wanted to change.
