Nekkid people
Blasphemy
When you spend time on them that you should be using in prayer or to make an honest living

Video games became sinful, in the late 90s, when they were Banning Pokémon from public schools. Obviously.

In all seriousness, is God still first in your life? If not, then I would say video games have become sinful.

I try and not play video games often. What about video games, cartoon video games where you are constantly killing things that are cartoon? Would that be sinful?

I don’t think so, Mario has killed a lot of turtles.

How about Kirby? Games like that, just for perspective

I don’t think just playing Kirby is sinful. I think video games like that, kind of fun colourful video games, are good way to relieve stress.

They are? I like playing it because Kirby is cute and has a nice soundtrack

That’s actually a pretty good reason. And you’re right it does have a good soundtrack.

When they start to control your life.
When you start to underperform at work.
When you start to neglect your wife.
When you start to neglect your children.
Basically when you get addicted…

Pikachu is sad 😔

Actually, some Pokémon, do look like Kirby. The pink blob design is quite popular, but Kirby was around before Pokémon.

Wow, this is getting weird. I’ll go make some popcorn now.

These sort of questions are nuanced, as to when a certain line is crossed.

Personally, how I wish the Nintendo sitting on the desk when I was 3 years old had never existed. sigh

Surrounded by books and forests and mountains and fresh air. Grass under my bare feet and miles of blue sky above my head by day. But I wanted on the box. When at school, I thought about the box. On weekends, I thought about the box. Such a waste. Irrecoverable.

When they interfere with family life, prayer life, church activities (like mass attendance), and work responsibilities. When you start to develop a negative attitude, anxiety, fear, or swearing habits.
