When Do You Pray the Rosary?

This morning I woke up at 6AM to pray the Rosary. There is a site that has a recording of a group of seminarians, I believe praying the Rosary at 6.

I actually tried to do this yesterday. My alarm went off, but I went back to sleep.

In the past, I’ve mostly prayed it in the evening, but I am usually exhausted in the evenings, and often fall asleep.

For those of you who pray the Rosary, when do you mostly do it? Please share your experiences.

P.S. can you believe I started this thread? Those of you who remember when I first came into the Church remembered how I struggled with the Rosary. 😛
 
Wait… what’s going on? People don’t do polls on CAF anymore?

Or does it have to be about the SSPX, COTH, On Eagles Wings, immodesty, etc?

There is no choice for " I pray it at different times of the day" I’ve been lax lately, need to get back to it, which is what I intend to do…

Yeah, I know. That’s why I said “mostly”.

I’ve always been a horrible poll creator. 🙂
 
My rosary goes everywhere with me – it’s the last thing I check when I’m leaving the house to make sure I have it. I pray the rosary every day – my first two decades I pray with my first cup of coffee – then the 3rd decade I often say with EWTN site – the 4th decade I say a number of times for various people – mainly walking to the street car to go downtown – I save the last decade and say it before I turn out the light at night – the rosary is a very important part of my day.
 
I’m sorry, I couldn’t vote on this thread. “All three” was not an option. 🙂
 
I voted for evening, because I always pray the rosary before I fall asleep, but I also pray it when driving, when out walking, in the middle of the night when I cant sleep, even when Im in a waiting room with nothing to read.
 
Tu-Fri with the bishop on local catholic radio station that airs Rosary as recited by bishops of my diocese and the nearby archdiocese. Weekend - before Mass starts either sat. vigil or sun morn.
 
I pray the Rosary off and on most of the day. I average about 10 rosaries daily.
 
I usually pray the Rosary before daily Mass starts at noon. I come in earlier to have time for the Rosary and other private devotions.
 
Why can’t we pick multiple times? 😛 I always pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet everyday, even if I don’t have the ability to at 3pm. Right before I go to sleep, which varies between 12-3 am, I always pray the Rosary, no matter what. And when I can’t use my Rosary and I’m in a tough situation, I recite it in my head, or use my fingers.
 
A couple years ago when I was truely starting to see how great God’s love is, I was moved to pray the Rosary every morning as soon as I got up. As time went on it became a lot harder to do so first thing in the morning, so it ended up getting bumped to the evening or replaced with the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
However, on the feast of Pentecost this year, I was enrolled in the Brown Scapular, so now I must pray the Rosary daily. For the past few months I have prayed it in the evening, but I prayed it at 7 AM this morning, so maybe I will try doing that more often. :rolleyes:
 
It varies. All times of the day, but I prefer in the morning (after coffee:))

(I THINK I’d like to try the mornings, but in the past I was rushing off to work, and in more recent times I’ve worked evenings and therefore did not even see the light of day before at least noon.)

I pray in the evening as that is most convenient and that is the time I will most likely get around to it.
Of course, in many evenings my body wants to shut down, or at least have a wee nap.:mad:

I’ve been considering starting either a prayer thread or a Rosary thread due to all the struggles I go through in praying. I can’t seem to turn my mind off enough to truly concentrate most nights. If I DO get my mind turned off enough so I can meditate on the mysteries I usually get sleepy. zzzz View attachment 18466
 
Somebody stole my rosary out of my car when I had it in for service. 😦
I haven’t replaced it yet.
And I really wish I had that one back - it had some sentimental value for me.
But I do hope that whoever has it is using it well…

I pray the Rosary usually in the evening. I have more time to focus and have plenty of time to take it slow.
 
Time-wise it varies. In short, whenever I can though I hope to pray it daily one day. 😦
 
On work days I pray the rosary in the evening but I also have problems with my brain trying to go to sleep because I am tired after work. On my days off I say it during Exposition at my local church before morning Mass.
