When is the proper time to transition from kneeling to sitting after someone receives Communion? I see many people at our parish who go from kneeling to sitting once the extraordinary ministers of holy Communion return the unused hosts to the tabernacle and lock the door. Others sit after the priest has completed purifying the chalice and paten. Others when the priest returns to his chair after Communion. Others, seemingly at no particular time, but when they have completed their post-Communion prayers (much earlier than any of the above events). Is there a proper time to go from kneeling to sitting?
