Is it a grave matter to raise your voice out of frustration and anger in an argument with one’s parent? I’m not talking about screaming obscenities or yelling at the top of your lungs.
I don’t think it would ever be mortal sin (but I could be wrong), unless the offspring murdered their parent(s). Then, in order to be mortal, it would have had to be with the “child’s” full knowledge of wrongdoing, (understanding it was grave), without coercion, (free will). Is it a grave matter to raise your voice out of frustration and anger in an argument with one’s parent? If the answer is yes then my answer to your question would be yes too. It is gave matter and you know that.
Are you my dad posting as Colorad007?
If the answer is yes then my answer is absolutely no. And I would add that a parent should not sin by making his son angry and frustrated.
