There is a person in my community who is in our RCIA program. He’s converting from a Protestant Church. He recently was accepted into the Church on Easter Vigil. Is he now able to receive communion or does he wait for Confirmation?

Thanks!

Hi,

Pastors have permission to Confirm new Catholics as a part of their initiation to the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. So your friend should have already been Confirmed. But if not, he or she is still entitled to receive Holy Communion and should have at the Easter Vigil.
