How do you cope? (No medical advice please!)
I just got word from my doctor that I’m at the end of my rope medication-wise for my severe and disabling Fibromyalgia pain. And I’m still disabled cause of the pain. I’m not in a place where I can pray a bunch. I just try to do what little I can around the house and that’s about killing me. I can’t work or even volunteer. I had to become sterile due the severe unrelenting Endometrioses pain so I can’t have children and this is so very sad and painful for me. And it’s always on my mind in the midst of this.
I’m reading a lot. Mostly Christian fiction. I can do that when the pain is less. They are light and easy to read with good morals mixed in. I try to read a little passage from scripture each day and do a daily offering. That with a few spontaneous prayers throughout the day is the extent of my spiritual life. Sunday mass of course when the pain and fatigue allow which, thankfully, is most Sundays.
My spiritual life is so dry and empty right now. I feel God’s judgement rather than His love, which is common I’m sure for those with chronic illness. I’m just exhausted and at the end of my rope. I’m suffering severely in mind body and soul. I feel like I’m nailed to the cross with Jesus. One severe and chronic illness was traded for another. God is unrelenting with this severe pain and suffering. Will it never end? I can’t do this much longer, but I have no choice. Please, please pray for me. Thank you and God bless you and your loved ones! :hug3:
