When God seems far away

Loving God please give us the grace to remain faithful when You seem far and disinterested.
Please help us to persevere though trials and losses that may shake our trust in You as attentive, loving God.

Yet, our God, how can we know what further dangers and evils might befall us or what good may be lost without Your grace and protection?

Saint Therese asked that if a father protects his child from breaking his leg, does he love him less than a father who allowed his fall but took tender care afterwards? We cannot know all good that has occurred or evil that might have happened had You not protected and blessed us. Thank You for safeguarding us!

Pleading for strength and grace, I choose to continue following You for others’ sake as much as for mine. In Your loving mercy let this choice endure and triumph. Please grant that it will and that Your blessings will fulfill Your desires in my life and within the lives of those whom I love and serve as Your instrument and witness.

Loving God please may Your will be fulfilled in and through me even when You seem far from me and from those I love.
I continue to hope that You will restore experience of love in my life and theirs
 
Prayer “Everyday I need you Lord…”

Every day I need You Lord
But this day especially,
I need some extra strength
To face what ever is to be.

This day more than any day
I need to feel You near,
To fortify my courage
And to overcome my fear.

By myself, I cannot meet
The challenge of the hour,
There are times when humans help,
But we need a higher power

To assist us bear what must be borne,
and so dear Lord, I pray -
Hold on to my trembling hand
And be near me today.
Amen.
 
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Lord, please grant deep faith to those who feel you are far away. Help them to keep trusting in your love and goodness when they do not feel any consolations. May they walk by faith and not by sight, and know that you are their saving Lord and Protector. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.

Help me to see my real needs which are too often hidden from me.
