When is enrolling in RCIA appropriate?

I am drawn to Catholicism and considering the possibility of conversion but am far from decided. Is it appropriate to enroll in RCIA classes with the purpose of learning more about Catholicism, to help with the decision, or are RCIA classes appropriate only or primarily for those who are fairly certain they plan to join the Church?

You can join an RCIA class anytime you wish, whether or not you are at the point of making a decision. I would only recommend that you let the instructors know upfront that you are there to learn more about Catholicism, but have no plans to enter the Church at this time.
